Biography
Award winning harpist Zoë Winn is dedicated to sharing music with intention and beauty. At the
University of North Texas, she was awarded the Ricco Excellence in Music and Dean’s scholarship. Zoë is a Houston native and started her music training from a young age coming from a family of musicians. She has a strong belief in the power of music to change lives, and is recognized for her compelling sound and emotional depth.
As a soloist, Zoë was a prizewinner at the Mildred Milligan competition, and has been featured as an orchestral soloist in works such as Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherezade. She has performed with the renowned North Texas Wind Symphony at the Midwest Clinic (Chicago, IL) under the baton of Eugene Corporon as well as at Texas Music Educators Association Convention (San Antonio, Texas) under David Itkin with the UNT symphony orchestra. Zoë has performed in world premieres including at the International Chinese Saxophone Art Festival and various works from UNT composers. As part of the UNT harp ensemble, she has performed at renowned venues including the Dallas Cowboys headquarters, the G. Brint Ryan Estate, and for prominent figures at the annual Keune Speaker series in Dallas. Zoë has also been a highlighted performer at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston.
Zoë is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree under the tutelage of Dr. Jaymee Haefner at the University of North Texas. She is looking forward to presenting her arrangement of one of Henriette Renie’s lesser known works, 2nd ballade, for harp ensemble at the World Harp Congress this summer. When not at the harp, Zoë enjoys her time as fitness professional and encourages a wellness lifestyle for others.
